Growing up in Hawaii, my family had the privilege of witnessing my great-grandma, Lila (pronounced lee-luh), concoct her unique blends. She was well known in the Hawaiian community for her natural ability to heal and share herbs that grew wild in her tropical garden. She was deeply connected to Mother Nature and interacted with the earth, or "daga," as one.
Lila had a daughter named Rose, who was known to many as Grandma Saling. She watched as I created my blends, even crafting a few of her own. Her favorite was chamomile with the "purple flower," also known as lavender. She noticed my passion for herbal tea and shared stories about Lila's similar passion. She recounted the history of my great-great-granduncle and how he guided Lila into the life of healing with the earth.
Daga Teas is what it is today because of my ancestors. They paved the way for me, and I'm eternally grateful. Daga Teas is not just a business; it is built on the history of where it all started—with my great-great-granduncle, who raised an herbal farm in the Philippines and taught Lila all she needed to know about herbs.
At Daga Teas, every blend is hand-crafted with love, and I hope you experience the essence in every sip.
We take pride in using only organic, high-quality teas, herbs, and spices. Our blends are certified organic and ethically sourced from tea estates worldwide.
